Pricing, Setup & Platform
How much does LandlordNG cost?
LandlordNG has four plans: Free (up to 3 units), Growth (up to 25 units), Business (up to 100 units), and Enterprise (custom). You can start for free and upgrade as your portfolio grows.
How long does it take to set up?
Most landlords are up and running in under 10 minutes. Add your properties, invite tenants, configure your payment settings, and start tracking rent. For larger portfolios or estate-wide deployments, our team provides onboarding support to ensure a smooth transition.
How does rent payment work on LandlordNG?
LandlordNG does not collect or process rent on your behalf. Instead, you configure your own payment gateway API settings or provide your bank account details directly in the platform. Tenants are directed to pay via your chosen method, and funds land in your account immediately. LandlordNG handles reminders, tracking, confirmation, and records—nothing more.
Is my data secure?
Absolutely. LandlordNG is NDPR compliant (Nigeria Data Protection Regulation) and uses bank-grade encryption to protect all your data. We never share your information with third parties without your consent. Since funds flow directly through your own payment gateway or account, you retain full financial control at all times.
What if my tenants don't use smartphones?
LandlordNG sends SMS and push notifications for rent reminders, payment confirmations, and maintenance updates—so tenants without smartphones stay informed. Tenants can also access a simplified web interface. USSD support is on our roadmap for a future release.
Can I use LandlordNG for commercial properties?
Yes. LandlordNG works for residential, commercial, and mixed-use properties. The platform is flexible enough to handle different lease structures, payment schedules, and maintenance workflows.
How does the artisan system work?
Landlords and property managers add their own trusted artisans directly to their LandlordNG workspace. We do not enrol or independently verify artisans. However, we are building an artisan community directory where landlords will be able to discover, review, and add new artisans to their workforce—coming in a future release.
What happens if I want to cancel?
You can cancel anytime with no penalties. Your data belongs to you, and you can export everything before leaving. We also offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on paid plans if you're not satisfied.

How safe is my payment data?
LandlordNG does not store your bank login details. We use Paystack for payment processing, which is PCI-DSS Level 1 certified. Your funds go directly from the resident to your bank account via the secure gateway settlement.
Can I manage properties across different cities?
Yes. Our platform is cloud-based. You can create different "Property Groups" for your assets in Lagos, Abuja, or Jos and manage them all from a single dashboard.
How do I handle taxes and service charges?
When creating a unit, you can specify different billing components: Rent, Service Charge, and Utilities. LandlordNG generates split-invoices so you can track maintenance funds separately from your core rent income.

Can I invite a manager without giving them access to my bank settings?
Absolutely. Roles are strictly permission-based. A Property Manager can manage tenants and maintenance but cannot see your Gateway Keys or edit your settlement bank account.
How do I verify offline payments?
If a resident pays via cash or a direct transfer outside the app, they can upload their proof of payment. You will receive a notification to "Verify and Reconcile." Once you approve it, the system marks the invoice as paid and generates a receipt.

What is the SOS Safety System?
Found in your dashboard, the SOS feature allows you to trigger an emergency alert. This sends your GPS location via SMS to the estate security team and your pre-set emergency contacts instantly.
Can I add my family members to the portal?
Yes. Under 'Occupants,' you can add family members or co-tenants. They will have their own access to generate visitor passes and report maintenance issues, but only the 'Primary Tenant' handles rent payments.

Does the QR code work if the internet is down?
The gate system caches active visitor codes locally every 15 minutes. Even during brief internet outages, verified visitor passes will still work with the ZKTeco automated barriers.
Can I blacklist a visitor?
Yes. Managers and Residents can revoke a pass at any time. Once revoked, the QR code will immediately return an 'Access Denied' error at the scanner.
